At Trimly, we understand that putting your best foot forward starts with how you care for your shoes. We focus on sustainability, durability, and using only the highest quality materials to deliver shoe care products that won’t let you down. Instead of constantly replacing worn-out shoes, maintain them with our products—they’ll look better, last longer, and the planet will thank you.

For more info about us, please check out the Our Story page!

We are based in Melbourne and Sydney. Trimly is online only, however, we sell shoe trees through several cobblers, and you can find Boot Black in store via Henry Bucks.

All of our shoe tree and stretcher products are bench-made and hand-finished by skilled craftsmen in state-of-the-art facilities. We collaborate with China’s top shoe tree manufacturer, trusted by many leading European shoemakers. Why not Australia? Simply put, there are no manufacturers for these products domestically. Meanwhile, our leather goods and the Boot Black range are crafted in Japan. Our dedicated team ensures that each item upholds the highest standards for quality, ethical working conditions, and environmental responsibility.

Yes, we use only sustainably sourced wood from North America and Germany for our products, and our Shoe Stretcher Spray is formulated with natural citrus ingredients.

If you have a win-win idea for collaboration, we're always open. Please email us via info@trimly.com.au.

We offer sales from time to time. Our subscribers get first pick and then we open what is left to the general public.

A little care can greatly extend the life of your shoes. At a minimum, you should have the following:

These essentials will help keep your shoes looking their best for longer.

    When you return home:

    1. Insert shoe trees immediately—cedar is excellent at absorbing moisture more effectively than simply airing them out.
    2. Use a horsehair brush to remove dirt and dust.
    3. Place your shoes in shoe bags and store them in a well-ventilated area.

    When leaving home:

    1. Choose a pair that you didn't wear the day before to allow your shoes to rest and return to their natural shape.
    2. Use a shoehorn or the shoe's tugs to put them on—this helps prevent damage to the back heel counter, which can be costly to repair.

A quality shoe cream is essential for keeping leather moisturised. This moisture nourishes the leather’s collagen-based structure, making it more supple, elastic, and resilient. Additionally, maintaining the right pH levels helps preserve the leather’s integrity. Quality shoe creams often contain fatliquoring agents that promote water retention, ensuring the leather stays hydrated. While wax polish provides a protective layer and enhances shine, shoe cream is what truly nourishes and preserves the leather.

Stuff your shoes with newspaper and let them dry with natural light or in a warm room, but never next to a heat source. After 3-4 hours you can replace the newspaper with shoe trees (untreated, natural wood) and wait a further 12 hours before checking on them.

While some level of creasing is inevitable if you wear your shoes, you can minimize it. Creasing occurs when the grain layer separates from the underlying layers and is pushed outward. The best defense against this is to use shoe trees, as they help maintain the shoe’s shape and slow down the outward force on the grain. If you plan to wear your shoes regularly, incorporating shoe trees into your routine can significantly reduce creasing over time.

    Premium Trimly Stretchers

Trimly's Premium Shoe, Boot, and High Heel Stretchers are tools specifically designed to expand the width and/or length of your shoes, relieving pressure points and providing a more comfortable fit for shoes that may be too tight.

Trimly's Premium Shoe, Boot, and High Heel Stretchers are the highest quality stretchers you’ll find in Australia. Crafted from polished German beech wood and built with a durable stainless steel mechanism, they offer fast relief for sore spots by expanding the width of your footwear (and length, in the case of our Premium Shoe Stretcher). Each stretcher features adjustable bunion plugs for targeted comfort and includes a two-year warranty. For optimal results, pair with Trimly's Shoe Stretch Spray.

Our Premium Shoe Stretchers are ideal for flat-heeled shoes across most leather types and can also be used on some artificial materials, though results may vary depending on the material. We also offer specialised stretchers for both boots and high heels, ensuring a tailored fit for different shoe styles.

Trimly's Premium High Heel Stretcher is designed for use with heels between 3 and 6 inches high.

Our Premium Shoe Stretchers can adjust both the width and length.

Our Premium Boot Stretchers and Premium High Heel Stretchers adjust the width.

Yes, all Trimly Stretchers come with optional pressure relief plugs. These can be inserted into the stretcher to focus on specific problem areas, like bunions or tight spots, offering a more customised stretch.

Using them is very easy and we provide instructions on each product page. We generally recommend leaving them in for a minimum of 6 hours before trying on the footwear.

    1. Shake well before use.
    2. Spray inside the shoe, towards the area you wish to stretch. If difficult to reach, spray outside at the targeted area.
    3. Allow a couple of minutes for the spray to absorb.
    4. Insert shoe stretcher or socked foot into the shoe.
    5. For best results, we recommend using Trimly Shoe Stretchers to achieve your desired fit.

    Premium Shoe and Boot Trees

Shoe and boot trees are tools inserted into shoes or boots to maintain their shape, prevent creasing, and absorb moisture. By preserving the leather’s structure, they extend the life of your footwear and keep them looking their best.

Our shoe trees range is made to the highest standards and backed with a lifetime guarantee.

If you value your shoes, using our Premium Shoe Tree range will help maintain the shoe's shape, prevent damage from moisture, and slow the development of creases. Essentially, they extend the life of your footwear and keep them looking their best for longer.

Check out our Shoe Trees Guide for greater insight as to why you should use Trimly Premium Shoe Trees.

Cedar is an ideal material for shoe trees due to its natural benefits. The oils in cedar deodorise shoes and provide anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and insect-repelling properties. Cedar is also highly durable and exceptionally absorbent, efficiently drawing moisture from the shoe’s interior caused by sweat.

No, as long as you’ve selected the correct size. Shoe trees should fit snugly in your footwear. If you notice any bulging in the shoe or if the shoe trees feel loose, it indicates that you may have the wrong size.

We recommend using our Sneaker Trees due to their overhang grip, making them easy to insert and remove out of your boots' high neck.

We recommend not traveling with Trimly Cedar Shoe Trees in your shoes, as this can strain and potentially damage the leather. Instead, roll up your socks or use crumpled newspaper to help retain the shape of your shoes while in transit. For added protection, consider using Trimly Shoe and Boot Bags.

The white powder is crystallized cedar oil, which is harmless. Cedarwood can release small amounts of oil during temperature changes. This residue can be easily wiped off or brushed away without any issues

Knots are small marks that were once the base of a tree branch and will not interfere with the function or longevity of the shoe tree. In furniture, knots are often exploited for visual effect.

Our cedarwood is untreated to allow the full benefit of the wood's cedar oil. Fine cracks are sometimes visible and are characteristic of natural wood. They are not a defect and all Trimly shoe trees come with a lifetime guarantee.

    Sizing & Fit

All of our stretchers and shoe trees are sized using the European sizing system.

For assistance in finding the perfect fit for each style, please refer to the sizing guide on each product page. Our sizes are listed in EU measurements, with UK and US equivalents provided. Please note that our charts are for guidance only, and we recommend consulting your shoemaker for accurate sizing information.

In Australia, the following generally applies:

    • All sneakers are sold in US sizes.
    • All men's dress shoes and boots are sold in UK sizes.
    • All women's heels, flats, boots etc. are sold in US sizes.

Note that no two shoes are ever identical in size or width. If you select the wrong size, we can exchange them for one that fits.

We have modelled our Boot Trees sizing based on the popular RM Boot (Standard fit). Select your normal RM size. For wide fit (H), select half size up. This product is not recommended for narrow fit.
