For trousers stored folded, look for a hanger with a broad, rounded bar and enough grip to keep the fabric securely in place. A wider bar supports the fabric across a larger surface, while flocking helps prevent smoother fabrics from slipping.

For everyday storage, trousers can be folded neatly along their crease and draped evenly over the bar. For a more secure hold, use the Savile Row fold:
- Hold the trousers upside down with the legs separated.
- Place the hanger between the two trouser legs.
- Fold one leg over the bar, pulling it through until the hem sits close to the crotch.
- Fold the second leg over the bar in the opposite direction, laying it over the first.
- Hang the trousers up. The weight of each leg helps hold the other in place, making the trousers far less likely to slip from the hanger.
- Hold the trousers upside down with the legs separated.
