A suit is best stored on a hanger with a contoured profile and broad shoulder support that follows the shape of the jacket. The hanger should also be correctly sized, sitting just inside the shoulder seams rather than extending into the sleeves.

The width determines where the hanger supports the jacket. Too narrow and the shoulders can be left unsupported; too wide and the hanger can push into the sleeves and distort the shoulder line. A well-sized hanger should finish just inside the jacket’s shoulder seams.

Measure straight across the back of your jacket from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Choose a hanger 20-40mm narrower than your jacket’s shoulder width.

Any fabric left folded for long enough can develop a fold line, so no hanger can prevent creasing entirely. Our broad, softly flocked bar spreads the fabric over a wider, rounded surface rather than a narrow pressure point, helping minimise fold lines while keeping trousers securely in place.
